Senior Living Software That Keeps Residents Informed
SeniorScreens is senior living software built to solve a simple problem: residents need an easy way to know what is happening in their community.
Staff already have plenty to do. So, SeniorScreens gives them one place to post activities, menus, announcements, appointments, and other daily updates. Residents can then check that information on their own devices.
We are not trying to replace the software you use for billing, clinical care, or accounting. Instead, SeniorScreens focuses on resident communication. It helps get the right information to residents before they need to ask for it.

Senior Living Software for Daily Resident Communication
Senior living communities use software for all kinds of things. One system may handle care records. Another may handle billing, occupancy, or staff tasks. However, that still leaves a basic question for residents: What is going on today?
That is where SeniorScreens comes in. Staff can post the information residents look for most often. Then, residents can check it without calling the front desk or making a trip to the main building just to see if something has changed.
Activities
Share daily activities, times, locations, and last-minute changes.
Menus
Keep residents up to date on meals and dining information.
Announcements
Post reminders, notices, community updates, and important news.
Appointments
Give residents a simple place to see personal appointment reminders.
Schedule Changes
Update information quickly when plans change during the day.
Resident Access
Residents can check the latest information from their own device.
Senior Living Software Does Not Have to Be Complicated
There are some very large senior living software platforms. They can do a lot, and some communities need all of those tools. However, you should not need a large, complicated system just to tell a resident that an activity moved from 2:00 to 3:00.
SeniorScreens is built around that idea. We focus on the information residents use every day. As a result, staff have a simple way to keep that information current, and residents have a simple place to find it.
What SeniorScreens Does
It helps communities share activities, menus, announcements, appointments, schedule changes, and other resident information.
What SeniorScreens Is Not
It is not an EHR, accounting platform, billing system, or clinical care system. It is built for resident communication.
Know Before You Go
One of the ideas behind SeniorScreens came from something I saw happen to an independent living resident. He would leave his apartment and walk to the main building for an activity. Then, after he got there, he would sometimes find out that the activity had changed or been canceled.
I call that the Turnaround Trek.
It is a wasted trip, and it can be frustrating. So, why not give residents a way to check before they leave? With SeniorScreens, they can look at the latest information on their own device and know before they go.

How SeniorScreens Works
We wanted this part to be simple. Staff update the information once. Then, residents can see the latest information on their own devices.
Staff Posts an Update
First, staff add or change an activity, menu, announcement, appointment, or other resident information.
SeniorScreens Updates
Next, the new information is available without staff having to contact residents one at a time.
Residents Stay Informed
Finally, residents can check the latest information when it is convenient for them.
40+ Years Around Senior Living, Then Technology
My family was in the senior living business for more than 40 years. I grew up around it. So, I saw the day-to-day side of senior living long before I started building software.
Years later, I started using technology to solve communication problems. That background matters because SeniorScreens did not start with a list of software features. It started with things I had seen residents and staff deal with in the real world.
One of the systems we built was Recastio. It uses digital displays to put menus, activities, announcements, weather, and other information on TVs. Recastio has also been used in healthcare and senior care settings.
Recastio showed us how useful a shared digital screen can be. However, an independent living resident may be in an apartment away from that screen. SeniorScreens takes the next step by putting that information on the resident's own device.
Senior Living Software for Independent Living and More
SeniorScreens is a strong fit for independent living communities because residents often live in separate apartments. The dining room, activities, and community spaces may be in another building or in another part of the property. Therefore, a simple update before a resident leaves home can be very useful.
The same idea can work in other senior living settings too. If staff need an easier way to share daily information with residents, SeniorScreens can help. It is a focused tool for a basic job: keeping residents informed.
